Mid-run, um, emergencies

Postby Narddog » Mon Aug 07, 2017 8:10 am

I don't usually like these kinds of things, but this was hilarious:

Only happened once to me. Probably 16 or so years ago. Although I have had such pitstops in the woods, suburbs, patches of grass, etc. hundreds of times.

It's happened to me probably half a dozen times. Almost always on cool-downs after a hard workout, including my first ever alumni workout at Haverford. Thankfully it's usually a very small quantity, such that continuing to run is not a big deal and the shorts are salvageable.

This is fitting of course, as my SWAT poster name was once G.I. Joe.

Two years in a row I crapped my pants at the Villanova Last Chance Meet. Once in the steeple (where I also vomited all over the track just past the finish line) and once in the 5K where I outkicked the soon to be national champ in the 5k with a little bit of poo in my shorts...

Oh those were unhappy times. The first time I was horribly sick and could barely crawl across the infield to change shoes so I could go in the bathroom and try to clean up.

Villanova Invitational Syndrome.
