Robby Andrews, a two-time NCAA champion in the men's 800 meters, has announced his decision to leave the Virginia track and field/cross country program.

Has he been injured? I'm thinking not, and the reason he hasn't competed indoors is that he was weighing his options about making a jump and didn't want to use up eligibility. Wonder if the school will release him, and which college (if any) he'll end up at.
In the short term, he needs to find a coach -- fast. He can make the Olympic team and needs to get everything in order for that to happen.
Also, article on nj.com says he's leaving UVA altogether, not just the track team there.

emcee hammer wrote:if you rewatch the video of his ncaa win last year, at the end he says that he wins because he has faith 'in god, himself, his training, his teammates, his coach, his girlfriend.' i burst out laughing that he explained his 800 win on national tv because he has faith in his girlfriend--largely because he's so damn enthusiastic about it all.

I had no idea it was you. Are you living in the city now too?
