Summary: lifting and core before running.
Summary: lifting and core in the morning. ran after work. I decided to start keeping a log again. I've been lifting fairly consistently since August (had to take December through February off from lifting because I was getting really bad migraines) so I'm in moderate shape from that. Ideally, I'd like to ramp up my training to the point where I'm in race shape again. I realized that this may be my last chance to run competitively and train at a high level since I start medical school in a little over a year and I want to see what I can do. I feel like all the injuries I had during college prevented me from being as good of a runner as I could have been and I want to see what I can achieve with a year of (hopefully) solid training. I'll increase the mileage steadily over the next month or two and see where it takes me. At the very least, I want to do the old goat 4x400s during indoor season. I've been running for the past two weeks and my hamstring has been totally fine. I think running sparingly from graduation until April and doing leg lifting probably fixed whatever underlying problem there was.

Summary: felt a little tired/dehydrated towards the end, probably from not eating anything before running and staying up late last night. i'll do 30 miles next week. I would like to be at 45-50 miles by the end of may. I think the magic number for me is somewhere between 60 and 70.
Summary: i had to work late at the hospital last night and didn't get home until 12:30. decided that waking up at 5 like i usually do wasn't a good idea and slept in instead.
Summary: lifted and did core in the morning. went home to see Jared run in a track meet. Adam was also home to take a placement test for Rowan, so it was nice to watch Jared's race with him. He was really excited we were both there; he was actually smiling during his race.
Summary: lifting and core in the morning. made the mistake of not running in the morning thinking I could run in the afternoon. When I got home, it was pouring rain outside and I'm not quite at the level of dedication where I'm willing to deal with that shit.
