Summary: Pretty excited. Starting to log again because I am starting to train again. Didnt really take any significant time off in june as far as no activity. Ive been backpacking, biking, swimming, and running kind of as I feel. That being said, I did do the last two weeks of sorens trainign with him, so that is why i am starting my buildup with aroun 30 miles this week.
Summary: Ran with drew. Still feeling my 17 hour drive a few days before. Soreness will go away as i get used to humidity in nashville and get a little more in shape
Summary: Ran a few miles alone and than ran a few miles at Achilles International practice with this guy named Tony. He has a congenital leg defect, but has run 13 Boston Marathons thus far, real cool dude.
Summary: Ran with drew at the greenway
Summary: Had to cut the run short to make sure that I got home in time for dinner
Summary: Got a nice run in with vance and liz. Hot. Ran over a pair of shoes they gave me. I was totally rushing to get home and didnt realize they were sitting in the middle of the parking lot. Totally dumb move on my part.
Summary: Ran with vance, liz, shyam, jana, drew, and katie out at shelby bottoms. Hottest it has been in a really long time even early in the morning. Went a little llonger than i thought i was going to, its all right had some good times. Talked alot about abcesses
Summary: Solo on the horse trails realy hot, nice to get lost in my thoughts. Ran across a family of wild turkeys and had a stare down with a deer. I won
Summary: Got some nice miles in with shyam today.
Summary: Ran with Vance, Shammy, C-Town, and Brownie. Great run. Really felt great today to run Just a fantastic time
Summary: Ended up doing 7 today. nice run with shyam
Summary: met up with flatau and the USN boys this morning. They were doing hill workout, so I just kept running up and down the hill while they took breaks to get miles/hills in. Did a nice long run
Summary: Took an easy day at the rose park track with ted and the boys. great run
Summary: Late night run with drew way fun, beautiful outside felt pretty good
Summary: Met up outside of Jeds with the harriers met some cool new dudes this time one of which was a New Zealander named Psi(Psy? Sy?). He moved to nashville to play music. His band is called the Tattletale Signs. It is him and his ex-wife. Sounds spicy. Checked them out, gonna give it another listen before I make up my mind.
Summary: ran on the horse trails with shyam, we were going pretty slowly in the begining, but got moving by the end. The humidity was killer today
Summary: Had an increidbly miserable run this morning with drew. I was up too early, slept badly, was really dehydrated, and this day was more the most humid it has been in nashville all summer. Felt like crap frmo the getgo, he did also so we cut this one short
Summary: Ran with shyam. Still feeling yesterdays run today. Didnt feel my best. Just really tired legs, running through jello. GOnna hunker down and drink a lot of water and stay in the shade today.
Summary: met up with michael leduc in chicago this morning. Went on a sweet run with him through the zoo, farm, and conservatory. He is teaching at a high school and is going to be the head of thier 22 time state-champion horticulture team. big shoes to fill
Summary: got up early and shared a cabb with =a guy over to shedd aquarium. He ended up paying for the cab which was sweet. Met up with none other than the haverford higj jump record holder Carson Pickens! WE watche Zack McCormick run the Big Ten 20k, and thenw e did a nice long cooldown with him. Nice to meet some of the older goats
Summary: Pounded a run with Grant Scott and Zack. Cool to hear some stories from them about older goats. They are both really nie guys. Its kinda cool how I can go to most cities and always find goats to run with.
Summary: Got some miles in before my flight. Not fun to run alone after having some great runs with the chicagoats.
Summary: Ran with the harriers today. One of those days where everything goes wrong. Was running up a hill, my back siezed up, i stopped to stretch andf then my IT band locked up. Than I batrely made it to a port-a-potty as I was hobbling and trying to conatian the impending explosion. Got out of the port-a-potty, IT was sdtill locked up. Just sorta hobbled through the rest of hte miles
Summary: Ran with Cody. IT still pretty sore, just trying to run through it. Strecth, ubuprofen, ice. Nice run. Cody is a really cool guy, definitely glad I got the chance to have a one-on-one run with him, get to know him a little better. Went to an abs class afterwards and got my ass kicked. Im outta shape
Summary: Went out on a nice hilly run with the USN guys. The top gguy right now is a sophomore named Wolf. The team has gotten alot better and bigger since I left, its pretty cool. IT was still pretty sore today. HOpefully it will feel better tomorrow.
