Current Week: 0

Last 7 weeks of Mileage:

Wednesday July 11th, 2007: 6 miles
AM: 0 miles
PM: 6 miles Firestone Road 9pm run. My legs felt decent, but my whole body felt a little drained. Maybe I'll feel better once I'm running at 4pm again.

Tuesday July 10th, 2007: 0 miles
AM: 0 miles
PM: 0 miles Off I had to go on a special assignment during the time when I ususally run, to help drop off canoes at the Delaware Water Gap for a high adventure program. I will resume running tomorrow.

Monday July 9th, 2007: 2 miles
AM: 0 miles
PM: 2 miles Fossil Rock (beginning of break week)

Very short and easy jog down to the river and back. I swam for about 5-10 minutes before returning to main camp. It was over 100 degrees today, and I needed a break to begin with, so this was fine for today.

+hamstring exercises
+1 game of water polo at 9pm

Sunday July 8th, 2007: 9.25 miles
AM: 0 miles
PM: 9.25 miles Firestone into Great Bend (I'll be using this running log while the Merv site is down, to stick with my goal of continuously tracking my summer progress).

4pm. Very hot outside. I kept the pace moderate and took a 5 minute break to swim in the river around the midway point of the run.

50 miles on the week. I was going for 55, but 50 still seems reasonable, given my schedule. I will give my legs a break the next couple of days by going very short or taking off, and then shoot for about 40 miles for the rest of the break week. After this week, I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to maintain a 55-65 mile/week regimen with a little bit of effort and good time scheduling. I feel confident in my training up to this point.
